It can also used for¬†diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome,¬†ulcerative colitis,¬†dysentery. Other uses may include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, weight control and serious renal disease.¬†Some people may use it to apply to the skin as a poultice for boils.¬†In food manufacturing, blond psyllium can be used as a thickener or stabilizer in some frozen dairy desserts.
